  1. Website Terms and Conditions

    1. ​These terms and conditions (the Outpost Terms and Conditions) together with the Pre-Arrival Instructions, Additional House Rules and relevant Cabin Guide, govern the relationship between Outpost and any individual using or accessing this website or other Outpost-affiliated website (the Outpost Website) and any of the content or services available through it as a traveller or potential traveller (each, a Traveller or You or Your). Travellers include people who use the Outpost Website to access information about a Cabin or Property.

    2. The Outpost Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between Outpost and You/Your/Traveller. By using or accessing the Outpost Website, our platforms or systems, or by making a booking with Outpost, You acknowledge that You agree to and are subject to the Outpost Terms and Conditions.

    3. Outpost reserves the right to amend the Outpost Terms and Conditions at any time and the use of the Outpost Website and/or Outpost Services by You constitutes your agreement to be bound by the Outpost Terms and Conditions, as amended. We therefore recommend that each time You access the Outpost Website or use Outpost Services, You read the Outpost Terms and Conditions.

  2. Our Services

    1. Outpost’s Services are provided to adults over the age of eighteen (18) years. By making a booking with Outpost, You acknowledge that You are over 18 years of age.

    2. If You find a Cabin or Property in which You are interested, You can make a booking online. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Until such time as payment is made, Your booking remains unconfirmed.

    3. All prices are contained on the listings as accessed on the Outpost Website, and Outpost reserves the right to amend the prices at any time. Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of any local taxes.

    4. Discount codes (for dollar value or percentage off discounts) are not eligible to be used in conjunction with Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) providers, including but not limited to Afterpay when completing a booking.

    5. Once a booking is confirmed, Outpost undertakes to fulfil the booking at the price listed on the website at the time of the booking. If, for any reason at Outpost’s discretion, Outpost requires that the price of the booking be amended, it will provide three (3) months' notice to You of the amended price.

    6. Outpost reserves the right to charge an additional fee for pets at pet-friendly Properties. You acknowledge You are responsible to inform Outpost when a pet is included in the booking. Outpost reserves the right to charge You to cover any additional costs incurred as a result of a pet, including but not limited to any breakage, damage, or excess cleaning requirements, excess refuse, extra guests beyond those declared, etc.

    7. Outpost reserves the right to offer you an alternative Cabin in the event that your Cabin is not available. If You decide against the alternate, no refunds will be granted except where there is a difference in the Fee.

    8. Outpost reserves the right to make a decision on relocation to an alternate cabin based on extreme weather conditions that could impact safety. This includes but is not limited to: floods, bushfires, and extreme heat.

    9. Outpost reserves the right to charge You a security bond on Your booking. If, following Your stay at the Property and/or Cabin, it is determined that loss or damage has been incurred by the Landowner or Outpost, Outpost reserves the right to charge your default payment method to cover any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to any breakage, damage, or excess cleaning requirements, excess refuse, extra guests beyond those declared, etc.

  3. Traveller Responsibility

    1. Our Cabins are located in rural areas of land that are often not occupied by the Landowner. As such, You acknowledge that You are responsible for Your own safety in and around the Cabin and Property.

    2. You acknowledge that You are aware of the risks entailed in visiting a wilderness environment.

    3. Extreme weather events can be dangerous, especially in rural areas. You acknowledge that You are aware of the danger of travelling to and staying at a Cabin.

  4. Arrival at the Cabin and Property

    1. Within 48 hours of Your arrival date, Outpost will provide You with Pre-Arrival Instructions to the email address provided on the booking form. Additional House Rules will also be provided in your Cabin Guide.

    2. You agree to park any Vehicles in the Designated Parking Area (as defined in the Cabin Guide). A maximum of two (2) Vehicles is permitted in the Designated Parking Area during any stay.

    3. You must not drive any Vehicles off the Designated Road, including but not limited to the path up to the Cabin itself. You will be responsible for any loss or damage caused to the Cabin or Property if Your Vehicle/s do not remain on the Designated Road or Designated Parking Area.

    4. During wet or poor weather, You may be notified of a weather warning. Any costs associated with failure to adhere to the weather warning will be incurred by You at Your own expense.

  5. Staying in a Cabin

    1. During your stay, You must remain in the Designated Area provided in the Pre-Arrival Instructions. You are not permitted to approach or enter the Landowner’s Dwelling or other Premises without permission. In case of an emergency, use the emergency details provided in the Pre-Arrival Instructions and/or Cabin Guide.

    2. Campfires must be contained within the designated fire-pit and must be kept below knee-height and never left unattended. All fires must be extinguished by midnight and prior to departure.

    3. If there is a fire ban in place, You must adhere to the Fire Ban Notice. Failure to adhere to the Fire Ban Notice will result in immediate eviction from the Cabin and Property. You will be liable for any loss or damage to the Cabin and/or Property resulting from the failure to adhere to a Fire Ban Notice.

    4. You must respect the local wildlife and not approach any animals, domestic or otherwise, on the Property.

    5. Any gates opened by You must be closed directly after. You are responsible for ensuring You do not leave any gates open on the Property. You should be mindful that the Landowner may have livestock or other animals on the Property which may escape if gates are left open. You will be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the failure to close any gates opened by You.

    6. Pets are not permitted in the Cabin or on the Property without prior approval from Outpost and payment of an additional pet fee.

    7. You are fully liable for any issues that occur to your pets while on the properties. Outpost is not liable for any issues that occur to pets while on the properties. This includes: baiting on the property, any issues with wildlife including bites and injury.

    8. Good neighbourly conduct is expected, and You must not make excessive noise and play loud music at any time of day or night. All outdoor music and socializing must cease by 10 pm and be taken indoors with doors shut so that noise does not travel to the neighbours.

    9. You acknowledge that You are fully liable for any loss or damage You cause to the Cabin or Property. Outpost reserves the right to charge You or deduct charges from Your credit card for any loss or damage incurred.

    10. You acknowledge and authorise Outpost to charge You or deduct charges from Your credit card if You choose to consume any products offered for purchase within the Cabin.

    11. You agree that only those persons indicated at the time of booking will enter the Cabin and Property. Outpost reserves all rights to evict You from the Cabin and Property if this is not adhered to. The maximum number of guests permitted at the Cabin is two.

    12. You agree to behave responsibly when using the Cabin and the surrounding area. Parties are not permitted.

    13. Smoking is not permitted inside or within a distance of 10m from the Cabin.

    14. You agree to observe any and all Additional House Rules set forth in the Cabin Guide.

    15. The Cabin Guide will contain instructions as to the use of the composting toilet. Failure to follow the instructions relating to the composting toilet, including but not limited to adding non-compostable items to the chamber, will result in a Cleaning Fee being charged to your credit card.

  6. Departure from the Cabin and Property

    1. All Vehicles are to promptly depart the Cabin and Property via the Designated Road.

    2. You agree to leave the Cabin and Property by the Departure Date and allocated time. Outpost reserves the right to charge You fees for any early arrivals or late departures.

    3. For early departures prior to Your Departure Date, there will be no refund, voucher, or rebooking - partial or otherwise.

    4. It is Your responsibility to take all rubbish with You when You depart the Cabin and Property. Outpost reserves the right to charge You any fees associated with the removal of rubbish after your stay.

    5. You agree to leave the Cabin and Property in the same condition as when You arrived, subject to natural wear and tear. Any rubbish, unreasonable mess, or damage in or around the cabin will incur an extra fee.

    6. You agree to notify Outpost of any damage caused to the Cabin and/or Property incurred during your stay. Outpost reserves the right to charge You any fees associated with the repair or replacement of damaged items.

  7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

    1. All refunds incur a processing fee of 5% of the total transaction amount.

    2. We understand that sometimes things can change. For changes made at least 15 days prior to arrival, there is no cancellation fee, and guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a gift voucher for the full amount, or a refund minus our processing fee.

    3. For changes made 8-15 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount.

    4. For cancellations within 8 days prior to arrival, there will be no refund, voucher, or rebooking - partial or otherwise.

    5. Outpost reserves the right to charge an additional fee for any rescheduled bookings, including but not limited to emergency or injury where documentation or proofs are supplied.

    6. For bookings made that include a public holiday surcharge or fee, this fee is non-refundable if you cancel or reschedule your booking. The normal cancellation policy is void for these bookings, and there are no refunds for cancellations or reschedules less than 15 days prior to your stay.

    7. Outpost may reschedule or move you to a cabin in a different location if there is an extreme weather occurrence outlined by the relevant weather bureau for the area. This includes but is not limited to: flooding, bushfires, and extreme heat.

    8. Cancellation or refunds of bookings made through a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) service, such as Afterpay, follow the same terms and conditions as above.

  8. Warranties and Outpost's Liability

    1. To the extent permitted by law, Outpost excludes all liability to You or any other person, for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss), damages, costs (including legal costs), or expenses of any kind, arising from or in connection with:

      1. any act or omission of a Landowner or third party;

      2. Your use and access to the Outpost Website;

      3. Your acquisition or use of Outpost’s Services, or that of any Gift Recipient or transferee;

      4. any errors or inaccuracies in the information in respect to Outpost’s Services;

      5. delays to, interruptions of or cessation of transmission to or from the Outpost Website.

    2. Nothing in the Outpost Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law which apply and cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified. Otherwise, all terms, conditions, warranties, and representations, express or implied by statute or otherwise are excluded.

    3. We do not make any warranties or guarantees regarding Outpost’s Services, including without limitation, any guarantee that Outpost’s Services are a particular quality or standard, and are defect-free. You may be entitled to certain guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

    4. We do not warrant, guarantee, or make any representation that the Outpost Website or the server that makes the site available on the World Wide Web are free of software viruses, free from errors, or that the Outpost Website will operate uninterrupted.

  9. Guarantee and Indemnity

    1. You guarantee to indemnify and hold Outpost and the Landowner harmless against all Claims by third parties brought against Outpost or the Landowner arising out of or in connection with:

      • any material or content You provide to Outpost through the Outpost Website;

      • Your use of any content on the Outpost Website, including but not limited to the Services;

      • Your entry to and stay at the Cabin and Property; and

      • any breach of the Outpost Terms and Conditions.

  10. Outpost Website

    1. Ownership

      1. The material on the Outpost Website is copyright of Outpost and/or other copyright owners. Outpost reserves all Intellectual Property Rights in the Outpost Website and material contained in it.

      2. Subject to the clauses in these Terms and Conditions, You may view, download, and print pages from the Outpost Website for your own personal and non-commercial use, provided You do not remove any copyright and trademark notices contained on the material.

    2. Acceptable use

      1. You must not:

        • use the Outpost Website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Outpost Website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Outpost Website;

        • use the Outpost Website in any way that in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose or activity;

        • use the Outpost Website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish, or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit, or other malicious computer software;

        • conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction, and data harvesting) on or in relation to the Outpost Website without Outpost’s express written consent;

        • use the Outpost Website to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications;

        • use the Outpost Website for any purposes related to marketing without Outpost’s express written consent.

      2. The Outpost Website may from time to time contain hyperlinks to other websites. Such links are provided for convenience only, and we take no responsibility for the content and maintenance of or privacy compliance by any linked website. Any hyperlink on the Outpost Website to another website does not imply our endorsement, support, or sponsorship of the operator of that website nor of the information and/or products which they provide.

      3. You may link to the Outpost Website without our consent. Any such linking will be entirely Your responsibility and at Your expense. When linking, You must not alter any of our the Outpost Website’s contents, including any intellectual property notices, and You must not frame or reformat any of our pages, files, images, text, or other materials.

    3. Member Content and Reviews

      1. You grant to Outpost a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, modify, translate, and distribute any content provided to us (Member Content) in any existing or future media. You also grant to Outpost the right to sub-license these rights and the right to bring an action for infringement of these rights.

      2. You agree that:

        • You are authorised to provide the Member Content;

        • the Member Content is not false, misleading, or defamatory;

        • the Member Content does not contain any obscene or discriminatory language;

        • you are the sole author of the Member Content and owner of the Intellectual Property Rights of the Member Content;

        • the Member Content does not infringe any Intellectual Property Right of a third party;

        • You consent to any acts or omissions by Outpost in respect of Member Content which might otherwise infringe your "moral rights" (as defined under the Copyright Amendment (Moral Rights) Act 2000 (Cth)); and

        • the Member Content does not infringe any law, statute, or regulation (including but not limited to any unfair competition, anti-discrimination, or false advertising).

      3. Outpost reserves the right to edit or remove any Member Content from the Outpost Website.

    4. Privacy

      1. Outpost undertakes to take all due care with any information which You may provide to us when accessing the Outpost Website. However, we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information which You may provide to Outpost. Information you transmit to us is entirely at your own risk, although we undertake to take reasonable steps to preserve such information in a secure manner.

      2. Outpost’s compliance with privacy legislation is set out in our separate Privacy Policy which may be accessed from the Outpost Website home page.

    5. Gift Card

      1. When You purchase a Gift Card, You will be emailed a copy of the Gift Card to the email address You provided to Outpost.

      2. You must redeem Your Gift Card within the redemption period specified in the terms of the Gift Card, or otherwise within twelve (12) months of the purchase date. Once a Gift Card has expired then the Gift Card ceases to be valid, and is non-refundable. Outpost may, in its absolute discretion, decide to extend the redemption period of an expired Gift Card.

      3. Outpost is not responsible if a Gift Card is lost, altered, damaged, destroyed, or stolen, or used without permission. Please note weekends are very popular, and Outpost cannot guarantee availability, so we recommend You also consider a mid-week escape option and check availability online as soon as possible.

    6. General

      1. Amendment: We reserve the right, at Outpost’s discretion, to update or revise the Outpost Terms and Conditions.

      2. Notice: We may give notice under the Outpost Terms and Conditions by means of notice on the Outpost Website or by email to Your email address provided on the booking form.

      3. Severability: If any provision of the Outpost Terms and Conditions at any time is or becomes void, voidable, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to have full force and effect.

      4. Waiver: Unless expressed in writing to You by Outpost, any failure or delay by Outpost in exercising any right, power, or privilege available to Outpost will not operate as a waiver of that power or right.
